Our goal is to make a clean sweep of Cave Hill, including bagging all the litter on two priority sites, to protect the environment, restore the dignity of this 50-year Nature Center and reclaim opportunities for outdoor recreation at the park. Afterwards, we’ll seed the sites with native bushes and wildflowers to finish the job. Caves and sinkholes, like those at Cave Hill just upstream of Carlisle’s water plant on the Conodoguinet, are unique natural resources and shouldn't become conduits of contamination. Volunteers will learn about plants, animals, and geology and get to explore Cave Hill. Please join us when you can between 11am and 4pm on Saturday at the Cave Hill parking lot next to Bekins Moving to act on the importance of the environment, community, and public lands in your life! Bags, gloves, Brad’s pizza, hot dogs and cider will be provided. Learn more about Cave Hill Park and Nature Center at CaveHillCarlisle.org or call Ben at (717)961-6990
